This grant supports local- and state-level research and policy groups conducting applied research to influence policy through data-driven decision-making. Funding of up to $2,000 is available annually for groups reviewing and conducting research on policy-relevant topics. Groups outside the U.S. working on regional issues are also encouraged to apply. Preference is given to groups with policy expertise or plans to develop it, and those including graduate students or early career members.
Eligible groups must have three or more social scientists living in the same state or region, with at least one current SPSSI member.
