The Grants-In-Aid Program supports scientific research addressing social problems aligned with SPSSI goals. It prioritizes unique and timely projects from underrepresented institutions, graduate students at the dissertation stage, junior scholars, and volunteer teams. Funding covers actual research projects but excludes travel, living expenses, stipends, manuscript preparation, and indirect institutional costs. Applications require a detailed proposal including methodology, relevance, and budget.
Applicants must be SPSSI members and may submit only one application per deadline. Joint applications are allowed. Applicants who applied to the Clara Mayo Grant in the same award year are ineligible.
