This grant supports early career vascular surgeons conducting patient-oriented clinical research in vascular disease. It funds pilot projects including small-scale clinical trials, ancillary studies, and investigations into disease mechanisms, outcomes, and disparities. The $25,000 award covers direct costs for one year, excluding salary and overhead, aiming to foster development of clinical investigators and projects that can attract larger funding.
Eligible applicants are vascular surgeons within their first 10 years of practice who are SVS Active or Early Active Members with a full-time faculty position and mentorship. Residents and fellows are not eligible. Only one application per Principal Investigator is allowed.
