The Black Entrepreneurship Program offers loans from $10,000 to $250,000 to Black-led for-profit businesses with repayment terms up to 7 years. It also funds mentorship and training through the Ecosystem Fund for not-for-profit Black-led organizations and supports research on barriers facing Black entrepreneurs via the Knowledge Hub.
Applicants must self-identify as Black, be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and have majority Black ownership (>51%). Loan applicants must be for-profit with a viable business plan; non-profits qualify for mentorship and training funds.
