This grant supports exceptionally creative scientists who have recently completed or are completing their doctoral degree or medical residency. It enables them to bypass the traditional postdoctoral training period and move rapidly to independent research. The program also encourages institutions to develop independent career tracks for recent graduates, enhancing career productivity and institutional research capability.
Eligible applicants are recent doctoral degree recipients within 12 months before or after completing their degree or medical residency. Only U.S. domestic institutions are eligible organizations.
