The Quantum Sensors Challenge Program supports Canadian SMEs, academic institutions, and other organizations to co-develop quantum photonic and chip-based sensor technologies with NRC researchers. Funded projects span quantum metrology, chip-based quantum systems, and photonic sensor integration across diverse applications including navigation, medical imaging, geological surveying, defence, safety, environment, and health care.
Eligible applicants include Canadian SMEs, academic institutions, and other organizations willing to collaborate with NRC researchers. Projects must focus on quantum sensor technologies and applicants must fund at least 25% of eligible costs. International collaborators are eligible if benefits accr
