This program offers junior faculty a two-year opportunity to conduct high-risk, high-reward interdisciplinary research within CIFAR's global network. It provides $100,000 CAD in unrestricted research support, mentorship, seed funding opportunities, and targeted leadership training to develop research leaders addressing key scientific and societal challenges.
Applicants must hold a PhD and a full-time tenure-track or equivalent position with independent research leadership and graduate supervision responsibilities. The position must be secure for the full two-year term from April 2027 to March 2029. Research must align with CIFAR program themes.
