This fellowship funds early career postdoctoral researchers to conduct cooperative research in Japan with leading Japanese universities and institutions. Candidates from all humanities and social sciences fields must arrange a research plan with a Japanese host and be ordinarily resident in the UK, Isle of Man, or Channel Islands. The program advances research both in Japan and internationally.
Applicants must be ordinarily resident in the UK, Isle of Man, or Channel Islands, hold or be about to receive a doctorate within six years, and have a research plan with a Japanese host at a Japanese institution.
