This funding supports multi-institutional and multidisciplinary directed research projects in advanced defence technologies. Proposals must address one of 19 specific research problems identified by DRDO laboratories, focusing on futuristic defence technologies such as stealth unmanned combat aircraft, radar absorbing structures, and quantum dot infrared detectors.
Eligible applicants are academia and national research institutes. The call targets institutions capable of collaborative defence technology research.
