The Roy W. Dean Grant supports independent films that make a societal contribution and might not otherwise be made. It funds documentaries, narrative features, shorts, web series, and multimedia projects at any production phase with budgets under $500,000. Filmmakers worldwide are eligible. Winners receive $3,500 cash plus over $20,000 in services including music composition, animation, editing, marketing, and camera rentals.
