The Guts UK/BSG Trainee Awards fund one-year research or audit/quality improvement projects in gastroenterology for UK-based trainees or trainee networks. Projects must address clinical needs with clear patient benefits and be based entirely in the UK. Grants cover non-capital costs excluding conference attendance. Ethical approval is required before funds release. Network awards require collaboration among six or more trainees from multiple trusts.
Open to UK-based gastroenterology and allied Specialty Trainees holding a National Training Number. Individual awards exclude those with fully funded projects unless for distinct work. Network awards require six or more trainees from at least four trusts.
