The BSCB Summer Studentships provide financial support for high calibre undergraduates to undertake lab-based research projects in cell biology during their summer vacation. Projects are individually agreed with supervisors who must be BSCB members based in the UK or Republic of Ireland. Special studentships focus on mitochondrial function and dysfunction. The award includes a living wage stipend for up to 6 weeks to encourage postgraduate research careers.
Eligible applicants are undergraduate students who have not completed their first degree, including those in integrated Masters programs. Applications must be submitted by a UK or Republic of Ireland-based BSCB member supervisor on behalf of a named student.
