The P.E. MacAllister Fieldwork Participation Scholarships provide five $2,000 awards to ASOR members or students for participation as volunteers or staff on ASOR-affiliated archaeological excavation projects during summer 2027. Recipients must submit a short report and photos after the field season. Awards cover direct expenses and require signing waivers for ASOR publications. Scholarships cannot be deferred but applicants may reapply in subsequent years.
Applicants must be ASOR members or students at ASOR-member schools. Membership waivers available for underrepresented groups. Must participate in an ASOR-affiliated excavation and provide excavation director contact info. Preference to those not funded recently or lacking usual excavation support.
