This grant funds operation of an outpatient fitness restoration program serving adults and juveniles adjudicated Unfit to Stand Trial (UST). Services include psychiatric, mental health, substance abuse treatment, housing case management, legal education, and fitness restoration. The program reduces inpatient waitlists and increases access to outpatient care, including telehealth. It also monitors NGRI consumers and emphasizes equity and inclusivity.
Eligible individuals are adults and juveniles found Unfit to Stand Trial (UST) by County Criminal Courts and remanded by court order to the Department of Human Services for outpatient treatment.
