The SCORE program funds research capacity building for faculty at institutions with limited NIH R01 funding and missions to graduate underrepresented biomedical science students. It supports investigator-initiated research at three career stages (SC1, SC2, SC3) within NIH mission scope, excluding clinical trials or clinical interventions.
Eligible applicants are faculty at institutions with limited NIH R01 funding and missions or histories of graduating students from groups underrepresented in biomedical research with degrees in biomedical-related sciences.
