The Einstein Guest Researcher program supports threatened PhD-level researchers from crisis regions to conduct research freely in Berlin. It offers immediate support with stipends and costs for up to 12 months for those abroad, and advanced support with project funds for up to two years for those already in Germany with a position. Only specified Berlin universities and Charité can apply as hosts; individual researchers must be hosted to participate.
Eligible applicants are specific Berlin universities and the Charité acting as hosts. Individual researchers cannot apply directly and must have a host at one of these institutions.
