The Einstein-Professur program funds Berlin universities and the Charité to recruit and retain top international scientists. It supports appointment bonuses, equipment investments up to 500,000 EUR, consumables, and personnel costs for up to two years. The program targets appointments that universities cannot finance alone and helps prevent the loss of leading researchers. Applications are submitted by university leadership using English forms.
Eligible applicants are Berlin universities and the Charité. For international recruitments, candidates must have worked at least two years outside the EU. Applications are submitted by university leadership.
