This scholarship program funds trade school students in nuclear science and engineering to develop a workforce skilled in nuclear facility design, operation, and material handling. Recipients must maintain academic progress and commit to six months of nuclear-related employment per year of support, with possible employment at NRC, government agencies, DOE labs, industry, or academia.
Eligible applicants are trade schools that are postsecondary institutions accredited or approved by recognized agencies or registered apprenticeship programs. Scholarship recipients must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress and commit to nuclear-related employment.
