This program funds Utah municipalities and public transit counties to create Housing and Transit Reinvestment Zones (HTRZs) that increase affordable housing availability, promote mixed-use development, and improve public transit use near light rail, bus rapid transit, or commuter rail stations. It supports strategic land use, municipal planning, and infrastructure investments to enhance walkability, reduce vehicle trips, and increase access to employment and childcare. Applications are open until December 31, 2027.
Eligible applicants are municipalities or public transit counties in Utah that can propose a Housing and Transit Reinvestment Zone (HTRZ).
