The Biology to Prevention Award supports innovative, interdisciplinary research projects that harness biological and mechanistic insights to identify new targets and approaches for cancer primary prevention. It encourages collaborations between cancer prevention researchers and experts in biology, genetics, immunology, and drug development, with flexible funding from £100,000 to £600,000 over up to 5 years. UK-based research teams are strongly encouraged, with partnerships allowing joint UK-US or UK-Canada applications.
Applicants must be scientists, clinicians, or healthcare workers based at UK universities, medical schools, hospitals, or research institutes with some postdoctoral experience or equivalent. Early-career researchers are encouraged to include an established researcher as co-applicant for mentorship.
