The AWP Award Series is an annual competition funding original book-length manuscripts in poetry, creative nonfiction, short fiction, and novels. It offers prizes and publication opportunities for works primarily in English intended for adult readers. Both published and unpublished authors worldwide may apply, with some restrictions on eligibility related to judges and staff.
Open to all authors writing original book-length works primarily in English for adult readers, regardless of nationality or publication status. Mixed-genre manuscripts and certain individuals related to judges or staff are excluded.
