This one-year, low-residency fellowship supports a doctoral-level scholar annually to conduct original research on the visual art and artists of Outer Cape Cod. Fellows utilize PAAM’s collections and archives, participate in public lectures, video interviews, and the Biennial Art History Symposium, and submit a final report and scholarly manuscript. Projects must broaden and diversify scholarship on Provincetown art and artists, with research conducted on-site in Provincetown.
Eligible applicants include PhD holders working as professors, curators, or art history professionals pursuing independent research, and PhD students in accredited programs conducting dissertation research with university approval. Research teams including qualifying individuals are also eligible.
