The Beecroft Bequest offers grants to accredited UK museums that are institutional members of the Museums Association to support purchasing pictures, works of art, furniture, or textiles dated no later than 1800. Grants cover up to 95% of the purchase price, capped at £20,000, and require a local financial contribution. Applications are accepted anytime but do not consider items already purchased.
Eligible applicants are accredited museums in the UK that are institutional members of the Museums Association, fall within the first four membership bands, and have not received a grant from this fund in the current financial year.
