The Indigenous Scholars Awards and Supplements Pilot Initiative offers CAD 27,000 in non-renewable funding for 12 months to Indigenous Canadian students applying to the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship - Master’s program. It supports research-based and some course-based master's programs across health, natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities. Applicants must submit a personal statement on how their Indigenous identity informs their research and career goals.
Eligible applicants are Canadian citizens who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nation, Métis, or Inuit) and have achieved a first-class average in the last two years of full-time study. Both research-based and some course-based master's programs qualify.
