The Project Completion Grants provide funding to historians impacted by redundancies, contract non-renewals, or inability to secure permanent history work post-PhD. Grants support diverse research costs to help complete projects. Applications include CV, research and eligibility statements, and are assessed on need, originality, progress likelihood, outcomes, and community contribution.
Eligible applicants are historians recently made redundant, on voluntary severance, or with non-renewed fixed-term contracts at UK universities. Applicants must have earned a PhD between Jan 31, 2024 and Jan 31, 2027, and have UK work rights for the fellowship duration.
