This funding supports projects that create or expand protected or conserved areas on land or sea through designation, land titling, purchase, or other recognized conservation methods such as Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures. Applications are reviewed individually, with specific deadlines for awards of $250,000 or more. Eligible applicants are legally registered NGOs authorized to work in the project country and must meet project selection criteria.
