This funding supports research and practice innovation aimed at helping disabled people and those with long-term health conditions aged 50 and over to stay in or return to work. It focuses on extending evidence about effective approaches and overcoming barriers for older disabled individuals. Projects with a musculoskeletal (MSK) focus are supported through a partnership with Arthritis UK. Collaboration across disciplines and with non-academic partners is encouraged.
Applicants must be UK-based organizations. Collaboration between researchers from diverse disciplines and non-academic partners such as employers, employment support providers, people with lived experience, and health professionals is encouraged.
