This initiative funds African investigators to develop and apply RADARSAT-2 Earth Observation data focusing on image-processing algorithms and methods. It supports both basic and applied research and capacity building to address economic, social, environmental, political, and scientific challenges in Africa. Projects are integrated into an umbrella program with defined timelines and undergo scientific evaluation.
Eligible applicants are investigators affiliated with African organizations having a postal address and e-mail in Africa. Project managers must submit a request to the Canadian Space Agency for integration into the initiative.
