The STRI General Internship Program offers paid internships for undergraduates and recent graduates to gain research experience with STRI scientific mentors. Interns receive a stipend for living expenses and round-trip airfare. Selection is merit-based and applications are submitted through the Smithsonian Online Academic Appointments system. The program supports research in tropical biodiversity and related fields but does not provide research allowances.
