The Europe Section Alessandro Volta Medal honors excellence in electrochemistry and solid state science and technology research. It awards a silver medal and $2,000 to recipients with outstanding achievements demonstrated by publications or technical contributions. Awardees deliver the Volta Award Lecture at the ECS meeting where the medal is presented.
Applicants must be active members of ECS and the ECS Europe Section with outstanding achievements in electrochemical or solid state science. Nominations are restricted to certain ECS members and committees.
