This award funds new, highly innovative research projects focused on the etiology and pathogenesis of Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). It supports projects with high-impact potential but little or no preliminary data, providing funds for technical support, laboratory supplies, and limited PI salary for postdoctoral researchers. The award targets new ideas not previously studied and excludes ongoing research.
Applicants must be postdoctoral-level to Associate Professor or equivalent, members of AASLD, affiliated with a US, Canada, or Mexico non-profit research institution, and able to devote 20% effort. NIH, FDA, and CDC employees are ineligible.
