Supports highly innovative liver disease research projects that have little preliminary data but high potential impact. Separate funding is reserved for Clinical/Translational/Outcomes and Basic Science projects. Projects must be hypothesis-driven with 1-2 aims, completable within one year, and conducted at accredited non-profit institutions in the US, Canada, or Mexico.
