The OBF Event Fellowship supports diverse participation at events that promote open science practices and open-source software development in bioinformatics and biological research. It funds in-person and remote attendance at conferences, workshops, training courses, and collaborative development sprints. Eligible expenses include travel, hotel, childcare, registration, hardware, and materials. Reimbursement is provided after the event upon submission of receipts and proof of attendance.
Applicants must participate in events promoting open source software development or open science in biological research and support diversity in this community. Support is available for in-person or remote participation.
