The HIP Medical Student Award funds medical students with at least 12 months left in their MD, DO, or MD-PhD programs in the US, Canada, and Mexico to conduct blood science research projects lasting 8-12 weeks or a full year. Recipients receive an honorarium, mentorship from ASH members, complimentary ASH membership, and support to present their research at the ASH annual meeting.
Applicants must be enrolled in an MD, DO, or MD-PhD program in the US, Canada, or Mexico with at least 12 months remaining in medical school at the award start date.
