This funding supports multidisciplinary research projects that apply Quantum Information Science and quantum technologies to biomedical research areas including diagnostics, imaging, sensing, therapeutics, and computational biology. The goal is to leverage quantum physics principles to enhance the precision, sensitivity, speed, and scalability of biomedical technologies and healthcare systems. Funding is available through the NIH SBIR/STTR program for eligible U.S. small businesses.
Eligible applicants are U.S. small business concerns organized for profit with a U.S. place of business, having 500 or fewer employees, and majority owned by U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Foreign entities are not eligible.
