Provides supplemental funding to eligible state and local law enforcement agencies to collect detailed crash data focused on fatal crashes involving Class 7/8 trucks. The program supports peer-reviewed studies to inform safety management and develop crash countermeasures based on the Heavy-Duty Truck Study.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city or township, and special district governments. Only government entities at these levels may apply.
