The Translational Research Grant funds projects that explore commercial applications or early commercial development of university-held life sciences inventions. It supports advancing discoveries toward product-focused translational research, generating data for product development or regulatory milestones, de-risking technology, and fostering partnerships among scientists, product developers, and stakeholders. Proposals are evaluated on team composition and milestone feasibility.
Applicants must be researchers employed by a North Carolina-based university or nonprofit research institute.
