This national program funds nonprofit theater companies to present Shakespeare-inspired performances and educational activities. Grants support three tracks: school programming, juvenile justice initiatives, and paid apprenticeships for early-career theater professionals. Eligible organizations must have relevant experience and operate within the U.S., its territories, or Native Nations.
Eligible applicants are nonprofit theater organizations with at least two years of relevant experience, located and operating within the U.S., U.S. Territories, or Native Nations. Organizations may apply to only one program annually.
