The Shorenstein Fellows Program invites mid- to senior-career professionals from journalism, technology, media, policy, and related fields to pursue independent work that advances public understanding of the information ecosystem. Fellows produce original content such as op-eds, essays, webinars, or stories. The fellowship lasts one year, is mostly remote, and provides travel stipends for up to two trips to Cambridge. The program is unpaid and free to participate in.
Open to mid- to senior-career professionals including journalists, media creators, civic tech innovators, scholars, policymakers, and filmmakers. Applicants from diverse backgrounds and political perspectives are encouraged.
