This award recognizes exceptional herpetological photography featuring live reptiles and amphibians in naturalistic or captive settings. Submissions must include species names, location, natural history summary, photographer biography, and technical details. Images should be JPEG or TIFF format with minimal post-processing. Winners are featured in Herpetological Review and other SSAR media.
Open to individuals without SSAR membership requirement. Applicants may submit up to two images per year depicting live reptiles or amphibians in naturalistic settings with minimal post-processing.
