This grant supports continuing education for teachers and teachers-in-training whose instruction or programming focuses on Latin and the ancient Greco-Roman world. It funds registration, travel, room, and board for relevant programs, conferences, or courses that benefit elementary and middle school students. Tuition for credit courses is excluded, but related costs like books and seminars may be supported. Recipients must submit a report on fund use and classroom impact.
Eligible applicants are teachers or teachers-in-training who teach or seek to teach Latin and/or Classics to elementary or middle school students. Applicants must demonstrate how their professional development will benefit these students.
