The Energy Transition Navigators Program funds not-for-profit community-based teams to conduct outreach, recruitment, and entry services for clean energy workforce and contractor programs across Illinois. Teams collaborate with workforce hubs, pre-apprenticeship programs, employers, and unions to connect eligible individuals with training, career guidance, and supportive services. Multiple grants may be awarded per workforce hub region.
Eligible applicants are not-for-profit community-based providers with a history of serving low-wage or low-skilled workers or economically disadvantaged individuals. Community colleges and counties are excluded. Applicants must meet state registration and tax status requirements.
